COLORADO DOGS

Cha Cha - Colorado Springs, CO ADOPTED! 1/5/21

Cha Cha 1.0.jpg

Meet Cha Cha!  She is a 4-5 yr old, 60 lb,  female spayed Pittie mix.

Cha Cha had a rough life prior to coming to rescue here at From Forgotten to Forever Transport & Rescue. As a result she is pretty timid and slow to warm up to people. But once she does, she is sweet, smart, and sassy. Once at the vet's office she managed to let herself out of her kennel and go for a stroll around the offices!  She is fully housebroken and great with other dogs but should not go to a home with cats.  Because she's a bigger girl, she should go to a home with older children only.

The main impediment to her adoption has been her diagnosis of immune-mediated hemolytic anemia (IMHA). This is an auto-immune disease where her body attacks her red blood cells. She was hospitalized a year or two ago, and is currently seeing an internal specialist to get her meds dialed in.  Initially placed on predisone, she had too many negative side effects so we are working on her medication protocol!  Her main medication is currently cyclosporine.

We are willing to let Cha Cha go to about anywhere and help with transport, but adopters outside of Colorado should be willing to travel at least part of the distance.  Anybody interested in learning more can email to: fftfrescue@gmail.com.
