Hercules - New York City, NY (1/2/21)

Meet Hercules!  He is an 11 yr old, 20 lb, neutered male cat.

Meet chonky, handsome Hercules! He is looking for his forever home after his owner passed away during the fall of 2020. Despite losing the only home he ever knew, Hercules has never been anything but gentle and easygoing with us! It took him a few days to decompress and begin eating in his foster home, but now that he has adjusted, he eats his meals regularly, drinks water, and always uses his litter box.  He is fine with other cats but has never been dog tested.

 

We stay away from treats because of his dietary needs, but he loves pets, company, and will tolerate being brushed. Even though he is a chunky cat, he is easy to handle, and we can put him in a carrier easily. Hercules had a urinary blockage that required surgery before coming to our rescue, and he MUST be on a urinary diet for the rest of his life. The Royal Canin urinary diet he has is $80 for a 40 lb bag. He has early signs of kidney disease according to his recent bloodwork in December of 2020. An adopter would need to manage this need along with his urinary diet. Otherwise, Hercules is up to date on his FVRCP and rabies vaccines, neutered, negative for FIV/ FeLV, dewormed, and microchipped. He has current bloodwork done from December 2020.
